We encourage prospective families to experience firsthand our commitment to educational excellence and our passion for learning by attending an Admissions event or a campus tour. Please note, registration is required for all events and tours.

    See how Shipley inspires students to build confidence and pursue their artistic passions at our Arts Insider's Look. You will meet our arts faculty, tour our facilities, and enjoy performances and hear from our talented students. You will also learn about our music, theater, and visual arts programs, where your child can explore various forms of expression, develop creative skills, and have fun. Whether your child is a beginner or an expert, they will find a place to grow and shine at Shipley.

We recognize that an independent school education is a powerful investment in your child’s future, as well as a considerable financial commitment. The Shipley School remains committed to making a Shipley education accessible to students from a range of socio-economic backgrounds.

Over $8 million was awarded to approximately 37% of Shipley's student body for the 2023-2024 school year. All awards are based on demonstrated need and are revised on an annual basis. Families of students applying to any grade are welcome to apply for tuition assistance.

Admissions Tours

Join us for a tour of our campus and learn about all that Shipley has to offer your family! We welcome families for tours all year long. During the school year, Student Ambassadors lead individual tours in the Middle and Upper Schools. In the Lower School, small group tours are offered on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. You can email admit@tennojikyujin.com if you would like to request an alternative tour time for any division.

    In Shipley’s Lower School, children develop their curiosity and a lifelong love of learning. With a strong academic foundation, students explore in fun and engaging ways, learning life skills like thinking critically about the world around them, developing empathy, and building social and emotional awareness. Tours start at 9:30 a.m.
